My house was built in the 1950’s and is a very interesting configuration. There are two bedrooms upstairs with gable walls where the ceiling and roofline are one in the same. They get very hot in the summer because there is no attic space to buffer the heat with insulation. This has always caused the air conditioner to have to start running early in the day to try and keep them at a temperature even semi-livable (82 degrees!)
Time and time again when we have customers with trouble zones in their home, we recommend ductless heat pump mini splits to resolve these issues. And they work! After losing the beautiful shade tree in my backyard and truly suffering this past summer, we realized it was finally time.
Not only do I get to look forward to being able to use these rooms year around now, but drastically reducing the use of the existing air conditioner; which will now just have to run to keep the downstairs cool in the summer. Win-win!
Do you have a trouble room or zone of your home that’s either too hot or too cold? Please reach out and let us see how we can help with a ductless heat pump mini-split!
